This Privacy Policy describes how “MARGOAPPS” LLC (“MathSolver,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit the website mathsolver.cloud or use the Math Solver browser extension (together, the “Services”).
Controller / Operator
“MARGOAPPS” LLC

Email: support@mathsolver.cloud
By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and agree to the practices described below. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to:
- The MathSolver website at https://mathsolver.cloud and all of its subpages;
- The Math Solver Chrome extension distributed through the Chrome Web Store;
- Any mobile or desktop applications we publish under the Math Solver brand in the future;
- Support, sales, and marketing communications we send you.
This Policy does not apply to third-party websites, services, or products that we do not own or control, even when we link to them.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Contact form: first name, last name, email address, message content.
- Account data (when you sign up for a paid plan): email address, authentication credentials (stored as a hashed token), subscription tier and status.
- Support correspondence: any information you choose to share when you email us or reply to our messages.
- Survey and feedback responses, if you choose to participate.
2.2 Payment Information (Processed by Paddle)
All payments on the Services are processed by our payment provider and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com Market Limited and its affiliates (“Paddle”). When you purchase a subscription, Paddle collects and processes:
- Billing name and country;
- Billing address (where required by tax law);
- Payment card details or alternative payment method details;
- Transaction metadata (amount, currency, date, order ID).
We do not receive or store your full payment card number. We receive from Paddle only the minimum information needed to fulfill your order and comply with tax and accounting obligations (e.g., order ID, masked card brand and last four digits, billing country, invoice amount).
Paddle’s handling of your payment data is governed by Paddle’s own Privacy Policy, available at: https://www.paddle.com/legal/privacy
2.3 Information Collected via the Chrome Extension
When you install and use the Math Solver Chrome extension, we process the following:
- Screenshots of math problems you explicitly submit. The extension captures an image only when you actively trigger it (for example, by selecting an area of the screen and pressing the solve button). The captured image is sent to our AI solving backend to generate a step-by-step solution and is returned to you in the extension UI.
- Solution requests metadata: timestamp, extension version, anonymous request ID, and result status (success / failure). This is used for quality control, rate limiting, and debugging.
- Authentication token (only if you are signed in to a paid subscription) so that your plan entitlement can be verified.
- Basic device and browser information: Chrome version, operating system, and extension language — used for compatibility and error diagnosis.
What the extension does NOT do:
- It does not read page content, forms, passwords, or browsing history;
- It does not access tabs you have not explicitly captured;
- It does not record your screen continuously;
- It does not activate without your action;
- It does not access your files, camera, microphone, or location.
2.4 Information Collected Automatically on the Website
When you visit mathsolver.cloud, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
- IP address, approximate location (country / city inferred from IP);
- Browser type and version, operating system, device type;
- Referring URL, pages viewed, time on page, clicks, scroll depth;
- Error logs and performance data;
- Cookie identifiers and similar tracking technologies (see Section 7).
2.5 Information from Third Parties
We may receive information from:
- Paddle (order confirmations, fraud signals, refund events);
- Google (when you install the extension from the Chrome Web Store — we receive install counts, review data, and anonymous ratings);
- Analytics providers (aggregated statistics about site usage).
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide the Services: solve math problems submitted via the extension, deliver step-by-step explanations, operate your account, and enforce subscription entitlements.
- To process payments: work with Paddle to accept, verify, and fulfill your order, issue invoices, and handle refunds.
- To communicate with you: send transactional emails (receipts, subscription reminders, password resets, policy updates), respond to support requests, and — only with your consent — send marketing emails and product updates. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
- To improve the Services: analyze usage patterns, measure feature performance, fix bugs, and develop new features.
- To protect the Services and our users: detect and prevent fraud, abuse, spam, and security incidents; rate-limit excessive or abusive requests.
- To comply with legal obligations: respond to lawful requests from authorities, meet tax and accounting requirements, and resolve disputes.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA / UK / Switzerland)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — to provide the Services you requested and process your subscription;
- Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve the Services and protect our rights, balanced against your fundamental rights;
- Consent — for optional marketing communications and non-essential cookies. You may withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing;
- Legal obligation — to comply with applicable tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share information only in the following cases:
5.1 Service Providers
We share information with trusted processors that help us operate the Services, including:

| AI math problem solving | OpenAI and comparable AI providers |
| Hosting and CDN | Cloudflare, Google Cloud |
| Analytics | Google Analytics |
| Transactional email delivery | Email service providers |
Each processor is bound by a written agreement that requires them to process your data only on our documented instructions and to apply appropriate security measures.
5.2 Legal Compliance and Protection
We may disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to:
- Comply with a law, regulation, court order, subpoena, or other legal process;
- Enforce our Terms of Service and Refund Policy;
- Detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues;
- Protect the rights, property, or safety of MathSolver, our users, or the public.
5.3 Business Transfers
If MathSolver is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership through the Services or by email.
5.4 With Your Consent
We may share information in other cases with your explicit consent.
6. Chrome Web Store — Limited Use Disclosure
Math Solver’s use of information received from Google APIs — including any data obtained when you sign in to the extension with a Google account — adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We use Google user data only to provide and improve user-facing features that are prominent in the extension’s user interface;
- We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve those user-facing features, for security purposes, or to comply with applicable law;
- We do not use or transfer Google user data for serving advertisements, including personalized or retargeted ads;
- We do not use or transfer Google user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes;
- No humans read Google user data except (a) with your explicit consent for a specific piece of data, (b) when necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, (c) to comply with applicable law, or (d) where data has been aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.
A link to this Privacy Policy is published on the Math Solver listing page in the Chrome Web Store.
7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies on mathsolver.cloud for the following purposes:
- Strictly necessary cookies — required for the Services to function (e.g., session management, checkout flow with Paddle, CSRF protection);
- Analytics cookies — Google Analytics cookies that help us understand traffic and usage (these are set only after you consent, where required by law);
- Payment cookies — set by Paddle during the checkout process to prevent fraud and complete transactions.
You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may break core features such as checkout and authentication.
The Math Solver browser extension itself does not set cookies on the pages you visit.
8. International Data Transfers
We operate internationally and process data in countries that may differ from your country of residence, including the European Union and the United States. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to a country that is not recognized as providing an adequate level of protection, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law:
| Category | Retention period |
|---|---|
| Account data | Until account deletion, plus up to 30 days in backups |
| Payment and invoice records | Up to 7 years (tax and accounting) |
| Screenshots submitted to the extension for solving | Deleted from our active systems within 30 days of processing |
| Support correspondence | Up to 3 years after the matter is resolved |
| Analytics data (Google Analytics) | Up to 26 months |
| Marketing opt-out records | Indefinitely, to honor your preference |
When personal data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
10. Security
We apply reasonable and industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:
- TLS/HTTPS encryption for all data in transit;
- Encryption at rest for sensitive data stored on our servers;
- Access controls and the principle of least privilege for employees and contractors;
- Regular security reviews and dependency updates;
- Isolation of payment processing with our payment provider Paddle (we do not handle full card data on our own infrastructure).
No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the relevant authorities and affected users in accordance with applicable law.
11. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights with respect to your personal information:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Erasure (“right to be forgotten”) — request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention obligations;
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we process your data;
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format;
- Objection — object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time;
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time;
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and CPRA, including the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@mathsolver.cloud with the subject “Privacy Request.” We will verify your identity (to the extent required) and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (typically within 30 days, extendable in complex cases).
12. Children’s Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below these ages. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us at support@mathsolver.cloud and we will take steps to delete it promptly.
13. Third-Party Links and Services
The Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites and services (for example, the Chrome Web Store, Paddle’s checkout pages, Google). Those third parties operate under their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices. We encourage you to review their privacy notices before providing any information.
14. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no industry consensus on how to interpret this signal, the Services do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. You can still manage tracking through your browser’s cookie and privacy settings and through the opt-out options described in Section 7.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make changes, we will:
- Update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Policy;
- Post the revised version at this URL;
- For material changes, provide reasonable advance notice (for example, by email to registered users or a banner on the website).
Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of the updated Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
